Best Game

June 30, 2005 - Anaheim Angels at Texas Rangers.
Although Mench holds the record for most conecutive games with a home run by a right-handed batter,
his finest single day performance was when he became the first native Delawarean to hit three home
runs in a single game. In an 18-5 rout of the Angels, Mench hit two two-run home runs off of Jake
Woods, one in the sixth inning and one in the seventh. He also hit a solo shot against Joel Peralta
in the fifth inning giving him five runs batted in on the day.
